Marie Johanna Huber Von Haden

Marie J. Huber Von Haden, 82, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012, at the Black Hawk Senior Residence.

She was born on June 28, 1929, in Galva Illinois, the daughter of the late Arvid and Anna (Fornander) Edwall.

Marie married E. Emery Huber on February 22, 1948 in Galva. He passed away on July 22, 1981. She later married Harland Von Haden of Fort Atkinson on September 3, 1983. He passed away on January 13, 1995.

Marie was a graduate of the Galva High School, class of 1947.

She had been a resident of Fort Atkinson since 1956 after moving from Galva. Marie worked in the advertising department at NASCO in Fort Atkinson for 18 years, retiring in December of 1995.

She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, being with her grandchildren, and was a member of the local Red Hatters. Marie was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and volunteered at Fort Memorial Hospital.

Beloved mother of three sons, Richard K. (Cathy) Huber of Carmel, IN, Jerald C. (Helen) Huber of Lexington, S.C., Burton A. (Michelle) Huber of Loveland, OH; one daughter, Karen M. (Dale) Knapp of Stoughton. Marie is also survived by two step-daughters, Dorothy (Robert) Ryan of Fort Atkinson, Sharon (Larry) Blacik of Waukegan, IL; 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arlo (Joan) Edwall of Galva, IL, Carl (Flo) Edwall of Sparks, NV; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Also preceding in death was a sister, Eva Goodale.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church with the Rev. Steven Wilkens and Rev. Ethan Steinbrenner officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Dunlap Memorial Home and after 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church or to a Memorial fund established by the family for the Black Hawk Senior Residence.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the caregivers at Black Hawk Senior Residence and Rainbow Hospice.
