Gene R. Raddatz, 82, of Fort Atkinson, passed away, Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his home.

Gene was born on February 26, 1930 in Milwaukee, son of the late Herman and Edna (Berner) Raddatz. He married Patricia Kelly on February 9, 1952 in Milwaukee. They shared 60 wonderful years together.

Gene joined the US Navy in 1951 and was based out of Great Lakes, IL and Jacksonville, FL during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1955 as a Draftsman.

Gene was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and watching the Packers.

Gene is survived by his wife Patricia, children, Donna (Roger) Lidicker of Fort Atkinson, Michael (Jodie) Raddatz of Fort Myers, FL and Linda (Dennis) Geszvain of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Jim Cheek (friend Dee Dee Haugen), Jenny Cheek (fiancé Chris Ott), Kelly Geszvain, Sean, Scott and Sally Raddatz, Kelly Braun (fiancé Bob Rowe) and Amy Geszvain; great grandchildren, Zackariah Cheek, Michael Lodl, Samantha Stratton and Becca Braun; sisters, Nancy Riggs of East Troy and LaVern (Michael) Krebs of Fort Atkinson; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church until time of service.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church or to Rainbow Hospice.

The Dunlap Memorial Home is assisting the family.
