Dorothy Ann Klotz

Dorothy A. Klotz, 81, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 25th, 2012 at her home in Fort Atkinson. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, April 20th, 1931 to Emil and Ann Susina. She married Ralph R. Klotz on February 14th, 1956. Dorothy worked at Sears in Chicago until her and Ralph relocated to Fort Atkinson in 1965. Since then she has been both a homemaker as well as a loyal employee at Highsmith Co. for many years. Dorothy loved tending to her garden and regularly donated trees she grew to the Parks and Recreation department of Fort Atkinson. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid General’s, Packers, Badgers, and Brewers fan for many years. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Marcia (Mark) Gilbert of Evergreen, Colorado, and her son Rob (Beth) Klotz of Fort Atkinson; her two brothers Emil Jr. (Marion) Susina of Park Ridge, Illinois, and Andy (Blanche) Susina of Glenview, Illinois; her grandchildren Ashley (Noah) Kowalewski of Evergreen, Colorado, Dustin Gilbert of Omaha, Nebraska, Rick (Liz Lord) Klotz of Jefferson, Wisconsin, and Melissa (Bryan) Knox of Verona, Wisconsin; and her great-grandchildren Audriana (“AJ”), Dominick(“Nick-Nick”) and Knox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and her parents Emil and Ann Susina. Visitation will be held at the Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson on Thursday, June 28th, from 5-7pm as well as at Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, June 29th, from 10:30-11:30am. Funeral services will then begin at 11:30am followed by a graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery and luncheon at Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made in Dorothy’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church.
