Agnes Hommer passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. Born in Muskegon, Michigan, Agnes devoted her life to caring for others, both in her family and her profession. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Charles Hommer Jr., and her son, Shawn Michael Hommer.
Agnes earned her RN from Sisters of Mercy College in Michigan and, with admirable determination, completed her Bachelor of Science in her 40’s. She found deep purpose in geriatric medicine, working in nursing homes and with Visiting Angels, where her compassion and dedication touched many lives.
Agnes and Carl shared a love for camping, travel and wine tasting, embracing life’s pleasures with joy and curiosity. Agnes will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and unwavering commitment to those she served and loved.
Agnes is survived by her brothers, Chuck (Beverly) Howard and Paul Howard; daughters Barbara (Michael) Gawlik, Pam (Jerry Kinsinger) Hommer, and Ann Hommer; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
As her family mourns the loss of Agnes, they are overjoyed that she gets to join her Husband and Son in Heaven.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1225 W. Main Street, Whitewater, WI 53190. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
