Allen J. (Jim) Gerard

Allen J. (Jim) Gerard, 76, of Jefferson, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at his home.
Jim was born on June 28, 1934 in Milwaukee, son of the late Lloyd and Rose (Provencure) Gerard. Jim married Ellen (Wilde) on June 12, 1954 at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, UT.
Jim was an avid golfer and the ultimate entertainer.
After graduating from high school in 1953, he joined the Air Force. He then worked for Lake Geneva Spindustries as an apprentice and retired as Vice President of the company. He then worked for Simonson Mobil and Brown Cab Service.
Jim is survived by his wife Ellen of 57 years; children, Rene (Thomas) Foelker, Jolene Gerard (fiance Ron Kidd) and Dewey (Cindy) Gerard all of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Rachael (Nathan) Schroedl, Brittany Foelker (fiance Jed Dunham) and Jacob and Joshua Gerard; special friends the Jim and John Adsit families; and many other relatives and friends.
Jim was also preceded in death by his brother William and sister Lois Malone.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson, with Father Jay Poster officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home until time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
