Anona T. Thayer

Anona T. Thayer, 83, of Hebron, passed away, Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital in Madison.

She was born on August 17, 1928 to the late Frank and Winifred (Degner) Kohlhoff. She married Lynn Thayer on June 26, 1954 in Oconomowoc. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2001.

Anona was a longtime member of the Hebron United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening on the farm. She was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Anona is survived by her son, Jeffery (Brenda) Thayer of Jefferson; daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Stitz of Cambridge, Jill (Kevin) Kahn of Helenville and Lisa (Arnold) Schreier of Jefferson; grandchildren, Michelle Kennedy, Andrea and Clint Kahn, Shane Potenberg, Venessa McGeough, Zachary and Caleb Thayer and Benjamin Schreier; great grandchildren, Angela-Ryann Stitz, Michael John Kennedy and Brayden and Taylor McGeough. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Allen Stitz Jr.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Hebron Cemetery.
