Ardis M. Eilenfeldt, 83, of Fort Atkinson, passed away surrounded by her family at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek on Sunday, January 05, 2014 following a recent illness.
Ardis was born on January 10, 1930 in Marshall, daughter of the late Karl and Helen (Hornickel) Holbach. She married Clarence Eilenfeldt in Marshall on November 25, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1995.
She was a 1948 graduate of Marshall High School and worked alongside her husband on the family farm in Aztalan for many years. She also assisted her husband while he was pastor of the former Full Gospel Church in Fort Atkinson for 12 years.
Ardis had lived in her home at 414 S. Main St. in Fort Atkinson for many years, before recently moving to a condo on Rangita St. She was a member of Promise Land Church in Watertown.
Ardis is survived by her three daughters, Kathy (Steve) Zimmermann of Lake Mills, Cheryl Zimmerman of Johnson Creek and Debbie (Daniel) Reece of Keokuk, IA; grandchildren, Krystal Spiegelhoff, Shelly Allison, Luke (Renee) Allison, Kimberly (Todd) Schaffer, Rebecca (Steve) Held, Jeremy Zimmerman, Brandon (Stephanie) Zimmerman, Heather (Ryan) Walters and Courtney (Joshua) Umbreit and 14 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Eilenfeldt and her brothers, Elwood and Marty Holbach.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Fort Christian Assembly, 212 Talcott Ave., Fort Atkinson, with Pastor Jeff Steiner officiating. Burial will be in Rock Lake Cemetery in Lake Mills.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dunlap Memorial Home, 604 S. Main St., Fort Atkinson and from 10 a.m. on Friday at the church until time of service.
