Barbara E. Blood

Barbara E. Blood, 75, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital in Madison.
Barbara was born on August 6, 1935 in Lowesville, VA daughter of the late Harry and Addie (Cook) Wood. She married Thomas Blood on January 8, 1955.
Barbara was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jefferson and worked for Moores Seafood for more than 30 years.
Barbara enjoyed going out to eat with friends and traveling to Virginia to see her family. She was a loving mother and great friend.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Brenda Blood of Lynchburg, VA; brother, Charlie (Burnell) Wood of Goshen, VA; sisters, Kathleen Ferguson of Lovingston, VA and Frances (Richard Jr.) Mays of Alexandria, VA; many nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas; sisters, Louise and Jessie and brothers, William and James.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church in Jefferson with Pastor Richard Akins officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Dunlap Memorial Home and from 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church until time of service.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Amherst Cemetery in Amherst, VA with Rev. Charlie Wood officiating.
