Barbara Jean Hartough Brittain, 90, of Fort Atkinson, WI, formerly of Ripon, WI and Prescott, AZ passed peacefully at her daughters home on Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
Barb was born to the late Florence and Eugene Hartough, who owned Florence Hartough Photography Studio in Chicago. Barb took over the business around 1950 for five years before she married David Brittain. They moved to Ripon where she raised three children; Guy (Jodi), Scott (Michele) and Carol Brittain.
Recently Barb lived in Prescott, AZ where she continued her spiritual path attending the Prescott Unity Church, which she enjoyed so much. After eight years she returned to Wisconsin and has been living with her daughter in Fort Atkinson. She celebrated 90 years of life with friends and family at Ripon College on April 7.
Barb will be greatly missed by her children; surviving sister, Josephine Hartough Franz; five grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Chelsea, Josh and Emma Brittain and the many close friends she has made throughout her lifetime. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Hartough and Janet Hartough Algar.
