Barbara Stedman Obituary

Barbara A. Stedman, 76, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012, at the Fort Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 30, 1935 in Camargo, Illinois, the daughter of the late Virgil and Ina (McCoskey) Lehr.

Barbara married Leon Stedman on October 2, 1954 at the First Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson.

She was a graduate of the Fort Atkinson High School, class of 1953.

Barbara was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
She had been a school bus driver for Double Three Transportation for 19 years.
Barbara enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, card games, camping and doing ceramics and crafts.
She had been a Boy and Girl Scout leader.

Barbara had been a member of The Zippers craft and sewing group and the Jefferson Merry Whirlers Square Dance Club.

Survivors include her husband, Leon; son, David (Cheryl) Stedman; daughter, Bonnie (Dean) Dahnert both of Fort Atkinson; granddaughter, Brigitta (Nathan) Brickl of Sauk City; brothers, Virgil Edward (Marjorie) of Montello, Robert of Wickenburg, AZ., Donald (Ardis) of Chandler, AZ, Ronald (Shirley) of Owen; sister, Evelyn Stone of Wickenburg, AZ; sister-in-law, Wendy Lehr, of Cambridge; brother-in-law, Duane Heine of Jefferson; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Also preceding in death was a brother, Roy Lehr; sister, Frances Heine; and a grandson, Jason Dahnert.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. Christopher Buckingham-Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Dunlap Memorial Home and after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
