Betty M. Klement, 92, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Tuesday, July 02, 2013 at Black Hawk Senior Residence.
Betty was born on April 2, 1921 in Fort Atkinson, daughter of the late James and Coral (Converse) Muir. She married Russel Klement on July 20, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2006.
Betty was an elementary school teacher for the Fort Atkinson School District for 22 years before retiring in 1983. She enjoyed playing bridge - or any card game, reading, traveling, camping in the RV, and doing crossword puzzles.
Betty is survived by her children, Kevin (Susie) Klement and Coral (Thomas) Becker both of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Mason (Laura) Becker and Jim Klement both of Fort Atkinson and Melanie Becker of Helenville; great grandson, Aleksander Becker; brother and sister-in-law, David (Hazel) Leonard of Jefferson; sister-in-law Miriam Muir of Racine; nieces, Laurie Wittkopf and Karen (Jim) Sivley and nephew, Keith (Sue) Muir. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Muir; great granddaughter Emma Becker and nephew, Walter Leonard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at St. Johns Community Church, N2560 County Road J in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. on Friday at the church until time of service. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in the town of Sumner.

Betty was blessed to have the compassionate care, friendship and fellowship offered by the staff of the Black Hawk. For that, the family is extremely grateful.
