Caroline E. Davis, 81, Whitewater, died on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
She was born on January 7, 1930 in Watertown, the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Ella (Uttech) Korth.
Caroline married Keith Davis on July 17, 1965 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson.
She had been employed as a cook at St. Pauls Lutheran School for six years.
Caroline moved to Fort Atkinson from Watertown in 1951, to Elgin, Illinois in 1978, to Gladstone, Missouri in 1981, then to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1988, and back to Whitewater, Wisconsin in July of 2011.
She was an avid golfer and had belonged to the Koshkonong Mounds Country Club for many years, an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and former member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson.
Survivors include her husband, Keith; three sons, Richard (Karilyn) Davis of Fort Atkinson, Bryon (Nancy) Hilgendorf of Jeffersonville, IN, Randy Hilgendorf of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Pamela (Randall) Holler of Fort Atkinson, Patti (Tom) Plemel of Sartell, MN; 6 grandchildren, Jeff (Kelly) Davis of Fort Atkinson; Kelly Maas of Sauk Rapids, MN, Ryan (Nanette) Congdon and Nicholas (Tiffany) Congdon both of Fort Atkinson, Leah (Andrew) Benz of Watertown, Drew Hilgendorf of Kansas City, MO; 9 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dennis (Janice) Korth of Wisconsin Dells; one sister, Vernice (Bill) Dumke of Lakeland, FL; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Also preceding in death was a son, Michael Hilgendorf, brother, Everett Korth, sister, Dorothy Kuester, and a grandson, Chad Maas.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2010, at 11 a.m., at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson with the Rev. Paul A. Scharrer and Rev. Michael D. Duncan officiating.
Burial will be held at Evergreen
Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson and after 10 a.m. on Monday at the church.
