Clarence A. Draeger, 94, of Fort Atkinson, died on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Draeger was born June 22, 1918, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, the son of the late Albert and Luella (Hartel) Draeger. He married Dorothy P. Frey on April 22, 1946, in Fort Atkinson.
Clarence attended the University of Wisconsin Madison agricultural short course right out of high school and worked on his Dairy farm with his wife and family until retirement.
He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ (now Grace United) and the Fort Atkinson Rural Life Association. He was a Koshkonong town board officer for 31 years and sold DeKalb seed corn.
Clarence enjoyed playing cards, Wii bowling, dart ball and visiting with many friends at the Fort Atkinson Senior Center. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include four sons, Larry and Norman both of Fort Atkinson, Rodney (Barb) of Onalaska, WI. Dennis (Randi) of Fargo, N.D.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and his sister Marie (Draeger) Featherstone of Walworth, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Frey) Draeger; his sister, Dorothy (Draeger) Voda and his brother Merril.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 15th at Grace United Church at 1631 Janesville Ave in Fort Atkinson with the Rev. Delisa Buckingham-Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends and relatives may call to pay their respects from 11 a.m. on Friday at the church until time of service.
