Darlene Farnsworth Obituary

Darlene L. Farnsworth, 72, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Fort Memorial Hospital.

She was born on November 30, 1939 in Whitehall, WI, the daughter of the late Irvin and Verna (Linberg) Peterson.

Darlene married Robert Schlee on May 9, 1959 in Blair. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1975. She later married LaVerne Bud Farnsworth on March 20, 1982 in Fort Atkinson.

Darlene was a graduate of Blair High School and attended Wisconsin State College-Whitewater.
She was employed by Uncle Josh Bait Company, retiring after 31 years.

Darlene was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, playing cards and traveling.

Survivors include her husband, LaVerne "Bud"; two daughters, Cindy (Stan) Langholff and Jayne (Ed) Czech both of Fort Atkinson; 5 grandchildren, Michael (Susie) Langholff, Michelle (Justin) Stahl, Kaci (Andrew Evenson) Czech, David (Kristen Wagner) Czech, Courtney Czech; 5 great grandchildren, Lexi, Mallory, Ripley, Sophia, Brayden and one on the way; 5 step-children, Lillian (James) Burk of Montgomery, TX, Lloyd (JoAnn) Farnsworth of South Hill, VA, Lyle (Julie) Farnsworth of Watertown, WI, Cindy Farnsworth of South Hill, VA, Tammy (Ronald) Weber of Eleva, WI; 9 step-grandchildren; 13 step-great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Gaylord (Cindy) Peterson, Dean Peterson, Fern Peterson all of Blair, Janet (Steven) Burki of Beloit; 5 brothers and sisters-in-laws, Roger Anderegg of Blair, Sherry Peterson of Fort Atkinson, Leona Borchardt of Watertown, Jim (Bev) Schlee of Fort Atkinson, Don (Lynne) Schlee of Mequon; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Also preceding in death was a sister, Lana Anderegg; a brother, Lyle Peterson; niece, Jenna Peterson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 12 Noon at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Bryan Engfer and Rev. Bill Beyer officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dunlap Memorial Home and after 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church until the time of service.
