David Forrest Touton, 83, Fort Atkinson, died on Saturday, January 1, 2011, at home.
He was born on November 10, 1927 in Fort Atkinson, the son of the late Forrest Cedric and Grace Redella (Hannah) Touton.
David married Mary Alice Zwiebel on December 26, 1950 at Elkhorn. They had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
He was a graduate of the Fort Atkinson High School, class of 1945, and UW-Whitewater in 1950.
David was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He had owned and operated Stay New Paint Corp. and Stay New Storage in Lake Mills for 40 years.
David was a member of the Paul Frank Florine Post #166 of the American Legion and the Jefferson County Masonic Lodge.
He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Cynthia (Steve) Klevickis of Elkton, VA, Barbara (Brent) Drews of Cross Plains; one son, Daniel of Lake Mills; three grandchildren, Margaret, Matthew, and Michael Drews; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Also preceding in death was an infant sister, Mary Helen, a brother, William, and his youngest daughter, Karen.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Dunlap Memorial Home, with Father Jay Poster officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12 p.m. on Thursday at the Memorial Home until the time of service.
If desired, memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice Care, Inc., Fort Atkinson American Legion Post, or a charity of one's choice.
