Deborah S. Zaverl

Deborah Sue (Madiar) Zaverl passed away unexpectedly, at 70, on February 3, 2025, with loved ones near. She was born on October 16th, 1954, in Springfield, IL, to George Madiar and Patricia Oswald.

Deb is survived by her mother, Patricia Whitworth of California; half-sister, Suzanne Whitworth Ackermann of Crown Point, IN; half-brother, Bill Federle of Elsha, IL; sister, Marianne Kasprzyk of Virden, IL; children, Justin (Kim) Zaverl of Richfield, WI, Tara Zaverl of Fort Atkinson, WI, and Aaron Zaverl of Elkhorn, WI; her four grandchildren, Bailey Neujahr, Hailey Zaverl, Logan Zaverl, and Olivia Zaverl; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, George Madiar, stepmother, Alice Madiar, stepfather, Mark Whitworth and former husband, Harry Zaverl.

Deb spent her life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute with her family. She enjoyed taking trips to see family and friends, watching sports played by her children and grandchildren along with on tv, cozy nights at home with Scooby Doo and mystery shows on the television. She spent much of her time surrounded by family and friends, including her animals and granddogs. Deb loved to spend days outside gardening and enjoying the outdoors.

The family would like to thank Whitewater EMS and Fort Healthcare Emergency Department in her final moments. We would also like to thank Dunlap Memorial Home.

A celebration of Deb’s life will be planned and determined at a later date.
