Doris Anna Mundt-Thorwald

Doris Anna Mundt-Thorwald, 85, of Fort Atkinson, entered eternal life on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her family and caretakers.

Doris was born on January 23, 1927, in Watertown, daughter of the late Arthur and Mandoline Koepke. She married Leslie Mundt on May 26, 1973. He preceded her in death on June 10, 1990.

Doris worked for Frawley Oil Co., managing the Citgo on the Point station in Fort Atkinson for many years. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and had a passion for horses, dancing and sewing.

Doris is survived by her sons, Brian Manke of Jefferson and Bruce Manke of Milton; grandchildren, Michelle (Paul) Ebben of Oconto and Justin Manke of Oshkosh and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 10 at the Dunlap Memorial Home with pastors Steve Wilkens and Ethan Steinbrenner co-officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. on Thursday at the memorial home until time of service. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
