Dorothy I. Dottie Pawlowski, 88, Fort Atkinson, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at the Golden Living Center with her family by her side.
She was born on August 29, 1923 in Wausau, the daughter of the late James and Nora (Hayes) Wachtl.
Dottie married Clemens Pawlowski on May 8, 1948 in Wausau. He died on April 3, 2007.
She was an active member of St. Josephs Catholic Church and a long time member of Koshkonong Mounds Country Club.
Dottie enjoyed her family, bowling, cards, and playing golf.
Survivors include one son, Michael of St. Cloud, MN; three daughters, Sue (Roger) Springman of Wyocena, Sharon (Gene Ceplina) Sobieray of Fort Atkinson, Mary (Richard) Bartkowiak of Stevens Point; six grandchildren, Robert (Ali) Head, Carrie (Adam) Hawkins, Nicole (Ashley) Neujahr, Megan Sobieray, Michael (Sara) Sobieray, Ben Norwood; eight great-grandchildren, Kiana and Cassidi Rogers, Meesha, Emma, and Bailey Neujahr, Tyler and Alec Head, and M.J. Sobieray; one sister, Charlotte Grap of Dunlop, IL; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Wachtl of Wausau; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Also preceding in death was one brother, Kenneth and three sisters, Gwen Wachtl, Betty McCracken, and Irma Wachtl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Brian Wilk as celebrant.
Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
A Parish Rosary will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church followed by a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
If desired, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
