Edward E. Fischer, 71, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Marquardt Health Services in Watertown.
He was born on February 23, 1942 in Jefferson, the son of the late Earl and Gertrude (Blaesel) Fischer.
Ed married Pamela Roloff on September 19, 1981 in Fort Atkinson.
He was a graduate of the Jefferson High School, class of 1961.
Ed served in the U. S. Army during the Berlin Crisis.
He had been employed by Foremost Buildings Inc. in Jefferson as a welder.
Ed was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He had been a member of the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
Ed enjoyed watching the Fort Atkinson Generals, Green Bay Packers and Brewers.
He bowled in both the Jefferson and Fort Atkinson Bowing Leagues and golfed at Spring Creek in Cold Spring.
Survivors include his wife, Pam; son, Paul (Theresa) of Sun Prairie; daughters, Jacqueline (Jeff) Haberman of Jefferson, JoAnne (Brian) Olson of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Rachel and Jason Haberman and Tyler, Sean, Kayla and Courtney Olson; brother, Thomas of Milwaukee; sister, Marie (Bud) Anderson of Madison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Steven E. Wilkens and Rev. Ethan E. Steinbrenner officiating.
Private family burial will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church until the time of service.
