Eleanor served on the MATC Scholarship Committee and the JC Penney Advisory Board. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson, teaching Sunday School, serving on the board, and was an active member of her church group and Bible study class. Her love of teaching also spread into 4-H where she was a leader for over 25 years. She was an active member of the Women’s Club, AAUW, Friends of the Library, and the UW-Stout Alumni Association. Eleanor was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; three children, Larry (Pamela) Wendt of Mankato, MN, Eleanor (Harry) Lynch of Orfordville and Ann Gallagher of Beaver Dam; two step-sons, Joel and Mark Weber; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and a sister; two grandchildren, Curt Gallagher and Kevin Wendt; her son-in-law, Michael Gallagher and one step-son, Ross Weber.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church until time of service.
