Everett H. Hruska

On May 25, 2011, Everett Hruska passed away peacefully at his home with his grandson, Jacob Jonas present.
Born on June 25, 1919 Everett was one of 12 children born to Edward and Elizabeth Hruska in Antigo, WI. He went to school in Antigo where he eventually married his childhood sweetheart, Verna Matuszewski on August 8, 1942. Moving from Antigo to Lake Mills and then on to Fort Atkinson where Everett worked as a foreman for Fort Atkinson Public Works until he retired in 1984.
Everett and Verna have three children, Barbara (Michael) Arduino of Loves Park, IL; Gary (Nicky) Hruska of Warrens, WI; Trish Jonas of Fort Atkinson, WI; Lee Jonas, a son-in-law that was there helping Everett and Verna whenever they a needed a hand; a special niece that was raised as a daughter, Jeannie Spurgeon of Bloomington, MN; five granddaughters and five grandsons as well as ten great granddaughters and one great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson at 10 a.m. with Father Jay Poster celebrating. The visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the VFW Club, N2074 Vets Lane, Fort Atkinson.
