F. Davis Obituary

F. Keith Davis, 87, Fort Atkinson, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at Wellington Meadows in Fort Atkinson.

Keith was born on October 7, 1925 in Gruver, Iowa, son of the late Orlow and Alice (Taylor) Davis. He married Barbara Jane Wells on February 14, 1948 in Elgin, IL. She preceded him in death on May 11, 1964. He later married Caroline E. Korth on July 17, 1965 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. She preceded him in death on August, 24, 2011.

After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Keith joined the United States Air Force and served in WII alongside his father and brother. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was also an involved member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church and took great joy in making braille Bibles for the blind at the Bentonville Lutheran Church in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was an avid golfer and was a longtime member of Koshkonong Mounds Country Club. Keith also enjoyed watching the Badgers and Packers.

Keith is survived by his sons, Richard (Karilyn) Davis of Fort Atkinson, Bryon (Nancy) Hilgendorf of Jeffersonville, IN and Randy Hilgendorf of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Pamela (Randall) Holler of Fort Atkinson and Patti (Tom) Plemel of Sartell, MN; grandchildren, Jeff (Kelly) Davis of Fort Atkinson, Kelly Maas of Sauk Rapids, MN, Ryan (Nanette) Congdon and Nicholas (Tiffany) Congdon both of Fort Atkinson, Leah (Andrew) Benz of Watertown and Drew Hilgendorf of Kansas City, MO; nine great grandchildren and a brother, Claire Davis of Roseville, MN. He was also preceded in death by a son, Timmy Davis; grandson, Chad Maas and three sisters, Joan Melahn, Shirley Fellows and Maxine McBurney.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson with pastors Paul Scharrer and Michael Duncan officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 at the Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson and on Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Burial will be held at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.

Memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice.
