Gail Louise Seavert, 85, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center following complications from a recent fall.
Gail was born on March 14, 1940, in Fort Atkinson to Fred and Gertrude (Pitzner) Pieritz. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1958 and Business Institute in Milwaukee in 1960.
Gail spent her high school summers employed by the Larsen Canning Company in Fort Atkinson as a switchboard operator. She became a full-time secretary there for two years after her college graduation. She then enjoyed a 35-year career as secretary to Everett Hein, Ben Beebe, and Sheldon Mielke, division managers for Wisconsin Electric Power Co. and Wisconsin Natural Gas Co. in Fort Atkinson.
Gail married Dave Seavert, September 29, 1962, in Fort Atkinson. She and Dave enjoyed traveling and spent vacations in and out of the U.S. during their 63-year marriage. For 20 years they spent winters in Puerto Vallarta, MX where they owned a timeshare. They also enjoyed the seasons in the Wisconsin Northwoods at their beloved cabin on the lake.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard. She is survived by her husband, David; sister-in-law, Beverly Pieritz; and cousins Sara (Jerry) Kuker, Margaret (Peggy Pitzner) Liebmann, Russell (Rusty) Pitzner, and many good friends.
Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service. A private family burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
