Gary T. Ingersoll, 72, of Muscoda, WI joined Jesus and loved ones in heaven following a stroke and emergency surgery for a blood clot on the brain on May 30, 2025. Gary was born on December 2, 1952, son of the late Ruth Ann Seeber and Leslie R. Ingersoll.
Gary poured his heart into serving the Riverdale School District as a Guidance Counselor to elementary and middle school children for 29 school years. He earned his MA Degree in Counseling mostly through University of Wisconsin Whitewater.
He grew up in Sullivan, WI graduating from Jefferson High School, Jefferson WI. As a teen he worked on one of the Ingersoll farms rolling sod and enjoyed an occasional airplane ride from his Uncle Ronnie Ingersoll.
Gary is a baptized Child of God and confirmed his faith at the United Methodist Church in Sullivan WI. While he was at college his faith in his Lord and Savior was strengthened and his desire to serve the Lord became a big priority in his life. He loved serving the Lord with his Christian music, many of which are recorded by him on CD's, church work, track ministry and offerings to further the Kingdom Work of the Lord's. Gary's first love was God. Oh, but did he ever love his cats. Every cat that came on his fully remodeled schoolhouse property became his to love and care for. Two Humane Societies are assisting in finding homes for his precious cats.
Gary is survived by his brother, Robert Ingersoll (Rose), Fort Atkinson and sisters, Gail Southard Seale (Jim), Alabama, Susan Zinn, Lake Mills, Rev. Cathy J. Price, Virginia and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Christian Graveside Service will take place at Rock River Cemetery, Jefferson, WI on June 4 at 2 P.M.
