Gary L. Rader

Gary L. Rader, 63, of Fort Atkinson, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, after his third bout with cancer.

Gary was born in Fort Atkinson on November 25, 1962, son of the late James and Ann (Bigelow) Rader. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1981.

On October 27, 1990, he married Marcia Bauer. He enjoyed a simple life, spending time with family and friends drinking beer. 

In his earlier years, Gary worked on farms and most recently was a punch press setup guy for many years.

Gary is survived by his wife, Marcia Rader; son, Brandon Rader; siblings, Sharon (Lance) Shanahan, Tom Rader and Bill (Mel) Rader; sister-in-law, Patsy Rader; and many other family members. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jim and Patrick Rader and other relatives and friends.

Per his wishes, no funeral services will be held.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 a the American Legion in Fort Atkinson from 1 to 5 p.m.
