Gene A. Refior

Gene A. Refior, 82, passed away May 4, 2024 in Mountain Home, AR. He was born in Nappanee, IN to Everett and Marie Refior.  He married Linda Reese, his high school sweetheart, April 7, 1962 in Whitewater, WI.  They had two daughters, Kris Boyle and Terri Petitt (Don).

He served in the United States Coast Guard for 6 years, then graduated from UW Stout in Menomonie, WI with a teaching degree. He moved his family to Whitewater where he taught Industrial Arts at Whitewater High School for many years. After teaching he was a Postal Carrier for the Whitewater US Post Office until his retirement to Mountain Home, where he enjoyed fishing and was an avid golfer. 

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, grandchildren Rachel Scuglik (Aaron) and Zak Petitt (Abby), 3 great-granddaughters, brothers Paul (Pam), Wendall (Marla), sister Donna Refior, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and son-in-law Sid Boyle. He will be missed by many friends and family.
