Jerome F. Rader

Jerome F. (Jerry) Rader, 74, of Jefferson, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013.

Jerry was born on September 20, 1938 in Oconomowoc, son of the late Charles and Adela (Weisensel) Rader. He married Sandra Hinkel on February 7, 1959 in Jefferson.

Jerry worked for the Jefferson School District for 18 years before retiring in 2004. He loved woodworking and built his own home with the help of his family. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Packers.

Jerry is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 54 years, Sandy of Jefferson; children, Wendy (Michael) Homann of Jefferson and Scott (Julie) Rader of Milton; grandchildren, Matthew Homann of Fort Atkinson, Lucas Homann of Jefferson and Andrew, Samuel and Ethan Rader all of Milton; sister, Marie Bedner of Sun Prairie; sisters-in-law, Addie Rader and Ann Rader both of Jefferson; his beloved dogs, Willie and Dolly and many nieces and nephews who knew him as uncle Bud. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Charles and James Rader and a sister, Ruthann Rader.

Following his wishes, a private graveside service will be held in Hebron Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Tomorrows Hope or the Rainbow Hospice.

The Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
