Joye E. Wilson, 88, Whitewater, died on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Fort Memorial Hospital.
She was born on December 20, 1922 in Red River County, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel (Hart) Wight.
Joye was married to Charles E. Wilson who preceded her in death in 2005.
She had been employed as a secretary for the Cleveland Heights, Ohio, city government.
Joye enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include 3 sons, Brett (Marsha) Wilson D.O., of Fort Atkinson, Garth Wilson of Arlington, VA, Kent Wilson of Chardon, OH; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Allen Wight of Phoenix, AZ; 2 sisters, Leona Rosier of Cambridge, NE, Virginia Tallman of LaHabra, CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Also preceding in death was a brother, Francis Hart.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011, at 4:15 p.m., at the Fairhaven Chapel in Whitewater, with Chaplain Kendall Nordstrom officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
