Judith Elaine Holmes, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 2, 1950, in Janesville, Wisconsin, Judy was a beacon of wisdom, creativity, and handiness, touching the lives of all who knew her with her warm spirit and loving nature.
Family was the cornerstone of Judy's life. Judy was preceded in death by her loving parents Donald and Dorothy Silverthorn, and her brothers, Gerald and Ronald. She is survived by her loving son, Brian Koebernick and his wife Danielle; her stepdaughter, Lori Frison and her husband Ludwig; and her adored grandchildren, Kylee and Anthony Koebernick, and step-grandchildren, Dylan, Kaylee, and Emma Jordan, and two beloved Grandpuppies Pepper and Zoey which she loved spending time with whenever possible.
After completing her education in Evansville, Wisconsin, Judy embarked on a fulfilling career that spanned over two decades at Parker Pen, where she was known for her dedication and hard work. Her commitment to service continued as she took on the role of a weapons screener at the Dane County Courthouse and later as a groundskeeper at the Dane County Airport. Judy's work ethic and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life made her a cherished colleague and friend.
In her leisure time, Judy was an active member of her community, especially at local Senior Centers where she enjoyed playing dominos and bingo. Her competitive spirit and sense of humor made her a favorite among her peers.
Judy's zest for life was evident in her decision to spend her last two and a half years in Arizona, where she embraced the warmth of the sun and the richness of the desert landscape before moving back to Wi to be closer to family.
Throughout her life, Judy's wisdom guided her family and friends through times of joy and hardship. Her creative flair was evident in the beautiful spaces she curated, and her handy skills were always on display as she tackled projects with enthusiasm and skill. Judy's legacy is one of love and laughter. Some of Judy's favorite times were spent around the holidays decorating, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Judys wishes were to be cremated but did not want any services. She wanted her legacy and remembrances to be of those times of laughter and well wishes She encountered with all who may have crossed Her path. Memorials may be directed to the family which will be split between the Jefferson County Senior Center and a retired police K9 adoption organization on her behalf.
The Family would like to extend our gratitude to Agrace Hospice, Visiting Angels and Dunlap Memorial Home for their care.
