Lidiya Vedyasheva, 84, of Janesville, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013.
Lidiya was born on June 9, 1929 in Russia. When she was only 12, during WWII, she worked as a lumberjack in Russia as it was mandatory to work at the age of 12 due to the war.
In 1952 she married Dmitriy Vedyashev. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2003.
She is survived by her daughter Tatyana of Janesville; grandchildren, Denis, Olesya and Dmitriy and five great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son Victor and her many siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 302 Merchants Ave. in Fort Atkinson with Father Andrew Hanyzewski officiating. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. on Friday at the church until time of service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
