Lloyd P. Hake, 90, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
He was born on July 8, 1922 in Fort Atkinson, the son of the late Benjamin and Ada (Parsons) Hake.
Lloyd was a graduate of the Fort Atkinson High School, class of 1938.
He raised prize winning registered Holstein cattle under the Coldstream Farm name and some were sold to foreign countries. Over the years, he took great pleasure in making the farm beautiful, and delighted in sharing his enjoyment of it with visitors. Lloyd enjoyed auctions and antique farm machinery. Even as his health failed in the last years of his life, he was able to remain at home on his beloved farm with the help of Vytenis Jusas (Vito), his caregiver, and the staff of Rainbow Hospice.
In memory of his family, he created a legacy of secondary education scholarships in agriculture, education, and engineering.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews and his much loved cat, Charlie.
Also preceding in death were four brothers, Jerome, Woodrow, Stuart and Stanley Hake and three sisters, Florence Hake, Lorraine Kutz and Jayne Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at the Dunlap Memorial Home with the Rev. Bryan J. Engfer of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice Care of Jefferson or the Jefferson County Humane Society.
