Marion Ringlund

Marion Ringlund, 85, long-time resident of Fort Atkinson recently residing at Fairhaven Senior Services in Whitewater, passed away peacefully at the home of her son on Monday, May 19, 2014 in Fitchburg, WI after a brief illness.

Marion was born on December 14, 1928 in Fort Atkinson, daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Lucas) Laatsch. She married Robert Ringlund on September 18, 1948 in Fort Atkinson.

Marion worked for many years at the former APV Crepaco and was a lifetime member of the Fort Atkinson VFW Auxiliary.

Marion is survived by her sons, Gerald and Ronald Ringlund both of Madison; daughter, Bonnie Sonnenberg of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Gwyn (Matthew) Radtke of Madison, Brent Ringlund of Milwaukee, Jessica (Fausto) Coello of Madison, Andrew Ringlund of Stevens Point and Adam Ringlund of Madison; great grandchildren, Milena and Benjamin Coello and Lorelei Radtke and brothers, Gerald (Elizabeth) Laatsch and James (Arlene) Laatsch. She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother (Clara Laatsch) and her husband.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, at the Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson with a VFW Auxiliary service beginning at 6:30. Private burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Fort Atkinson VFW Auxiliary.
