Marjorie I. Beebe, 87, Fort Atkinson, died on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the home of her daughter.
She was born on November 10, 1923 in Fort Atkinson, the daughter of the late Harry and Olga (Wiesian) Seavert.
Marjorie married William Rex Beebe on June 14, 1946 in Fort Atkinson. He died on June 14, 1986.
She had been employed at the former Thomas Industries and most recently for the Fort Atkinson Public Schools as a cook.
Marjorie attended Real Hope Community Church in Lake Mills. She had been a longtime member of the former Friedens United Church of Christ and Womens Guild in Fort Atkinson.
She had been a Campfire Girl and Scouts Den leader for many years.
A member of the Martha Chapter of the O. E.S., lifetime member of the Edwin Frohmader V.F.W. Post #1879 Auxiliary and Paul Frank Florine Post #166 American Legion Auxiliary, the Pinochle Club, and Walking the World hiking group.
She had bowled for many years and was a member of the Womens Bowling Association. Marjorie enjoyed being with Dick Wanies bird watching group. She had volunteered at the Fort Atkinson Food Pantry and the Koshkonong Polls.
Marjorie was an avid Packer, Badger, and Plymouth Panthers fan.
Survivors include her children, Jan Kay (Kenneth) Pundsack of Fort Atkinson, Rory (Rev. RaeAnn) Beebe of Plymouth; three grandchildren, Gregory, Ryan, and Randall; one great granddaughter, Jenna; two sisters, June Smith and Gloria Janke both of Fort Atkinson; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 2 p.m., at the Dunlap Memorial Home with the Rev. RaeAnn Beebe officiating.
Family burial will take place at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12 p.m. on Saturday at the Memorial Home until the time of service.
