Mary Jane Young

Mary Jane Young, 85, Fort Atkinson, died on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Alden Estates of Jefferson.

She was born on May 2, 1928 in Beloit, the daughter of Otto and Ella (Van Alstine) Brandenburg. She married Henry Quirin on April 25, 1947 at Christ Lutheran Church in Sharon, WI. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1975. She later married Rufus Young in June 1979.

She worked for many years in home healthcare. She also enjoyed painting and numerous other arts and crafts.

Mary Jane is survived by her daughter, Christine (Allen Sr.) Lemke of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Allen Jr. (Sherry) Lemke, Janet (Dave) Streich and Jeffrey (Deb) Lemke all of Fort Atkinson; great grandchildren, Billy, Sammy, Hannah, Emma, Lauren, Grace and Amelia; sisters, Roberta (Don) Burke of Perry, OK and Dorothy Jean (Hoyt) Henning of Beloit; step children, Jerry (Mary) Young of Sharon, Donald Young of Racine and Roger (Joanie) Young of Madison; three step grandchildren; one step great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and her sons, Russell and William Quirin.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Living Savior Lutheran Church, 1661 Janesville Ave, Fort Atkinson with Pastor David Emmrich officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Church until time of service. Burial will take place in Darien Cemetery.
