Melvin Steinke Obituary

Melvin Arthur William Steinke, 95, of Elkhorn, formerly of Fort Atkinson, passed away Monday, February 04, 2013 at Holton Manor in Elkhorn.

Melvin was born on June 18, 1917 in Fort Atkinson, son of the late Emil and Christina (Oettmeier) Steinke. He married Hazel Fink on October 25, 1947 at Friedens Church in Fort Atkinson. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2005.

Melvin is survived by his children, Sharon (Lloyd) LaReau of Harshaw, WI, Sandy (Mark) Bayuk of Hopkinsville, KY and Carol (David) Klein of Elkhorn; grandchildren, Amiee (Kevin) Wright, Austin Klein, Jennifer (Jeremy) Parker and Christopher Bayuk; great grandchildren, Emma Wright and Taryn Parker and sister-in-law Sylvia Steinke of Fort Atkinson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Loren Steinke and sister, Adeline Sprengel.

Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9 at the Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the memorial home. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
