Nancy C. Shackett

Nancy C. Shackett, 72, of Fort Atkinson, passed away July 11, 2011 at her home. Nancy was born on May 20, 1939, in Watertown, daughter of Alfred and Rose (Medick) Schumacher.
Nancy attended St. Pauls Lutheran School in Lake Mills and went on to Dr. Martin Luther College High School in New Ulm, MN graduating in 1957. Nancy had been a lifelong caregiver. She had worked many years in the Fort Hospital ER and later working at Countryside home until retiring in 2007. She was also an avid Packer and Badger fan.
Nancy is survived by her children, Lori (Tom) Boley of Deerfield, Michael (Heidi) Roehl of Jefferson and Benjamin (Amy) Roehl of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Emma Roehl, Amelia Roehl, Tala Drescher, Elizabeth (Ian) Waldoch, Katherine Acker, Mellissa Acker and T.J. Boley; and great grandchildren, Allissa Acker and Jaden Bethel. Nancy is now also reunited with her daughter Crissy Roehl, her parents and an infant sister in heaven.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Dunlap Memorial Home. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. on Friday until time of service. All are encouraged to wear Packer or Badger attire to the visitation and funeral.
Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
