Oscar A. Knutson, 91, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011, at Wellington Meadows.
He was born on July 17, 1920 at Warren, Minnesota, the son of the late Charles and Mary (Knute) Knutson.
Oscar married Edna Short on January 4, 1948 at Grand Forks, North Dakota.
He had been a mechanic for the Fort Bus Company and Brown Cab.
Oscar had served in the U. S. Navy during WWII.
He and his son took the Honor Flight on October 2, 2010.
Survivors include is wife, Edna; son, Richard Knutson of Brooklyn; daughter, Patricia (Jim) Rostollan of Fort Atkinson; five grandchildren, Nathan (Sarah) Knutson, Seth (Angela) Knutson, Michelle (Cory) Poast, Mary (Shad) Gevers, Mallory Rostollan; seven great-grandchildren, Tiffany Rostollan, Savannah Poast, Devin and Tyler Gevers, Tate Marie and Isaac Knutson and Layla Knutson; brother, Duane (Lila) Knutson of Bagley, MN; sisters, Caroline Hankins of St. Louis, MO, Deloris Kaml of Warren, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Also preceding in death were twin daughters, Judy and Jean and daughter, Melody Sue all in infancy; a son, Ronald Lyle; brothers, Harry, Lloyd, Neil, Ted Dennis; sisters, Mabel Kline, Adeline Hall, Marie Knutson, Phyllis Wimpfheimer and Bernice Knutson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Dunlap Memorial Home with Pastor Terry Allison officiating followed by Military Rites.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Friday at the Memorial Home until the time of service.
