Raymond Stelse Obituary

Raymond D. Stelse Ray passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the age of 79.

Born in Fort Atkinson on July 10, 1934 to Otto and Leona Stelse. Ray has lived in the Fort Atkinson area all of his life. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School 1951. Ray was a truck driver most of his life, having been a milk hauler with his brother Maynard, then later hauling livestock in the Fort Atkinson area until 1963. In 1997, he retired after 33 years of driving truck for Moores Food Products Best known as Diamond Daddy. Since retirement he drove the shuttle bus for Fort Atkinson Health Care. Ray was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church of Fort Atkinson.

Ray loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan with a great love for the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Nascar Racing.

Ray is survived by his loving wife Georgia, 3 children Debra (Richard) Payne, Dennis (Debbie) Stelse and Tami (Steve) Patton; 2 step-children Gary Justus and Terry (Kelly)Justus; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Lorraine Wedl and Eileen Miller; 2 brother-in-laws John (Anne) Miller and Julius Miller; along with many nieces and nephews.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents; first wife Anne Stelse ; 3 brothers and many other family members .

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson with Pastor Russ Frees Jr. officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Dunlap Memorial Home and from 10 a.m on Wednesday at the church until time of service.

Memorials may be made in Rays name to the First United Methodist Church.
