Robert L. McIntyre, 80, of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
Robert was born on October 20, 1944, son of the late Robert and Emogene (Greenough) McIntyre. On December 30, 1972, he married Jane Burrow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson.
Bob loved his family and took pride in the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.
In his own career he worked to preserve the farm which has been in his family since 1844. As a young man, his farming focused on dairy and beef production. Later, he was a successful producer of fruits and vegetables for local markets and pick-your-own customers. Bob completed his career as a landscaper, seeding lawns and building retaining walls for homes throughout the area. He enjoyed working with people and developing lasting friendships along the way.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jane McIntyre; children, Ryan (close friend, Fiona Hunter) McIntyre, Corey (Katie) McIntyre and Sarah (Eric) Burnette; grandchildren, Ivan McIntyre, Joslyn Burnette and Elise Burnette; brother, John (Gayle) McIntyre; nieces, Ann (Jeff) Melcoch and Beth McIntyre; nephews, Dean (Mia) Burrow and Steven (Rita) Burrow and sister-in-law, Jeannine Larson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bruce McIntyre; father and mother-in-law, Edgar and Mildred (Ebersohl) Burrow and brother-in-law, Daryl Burrow.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church until the time of service.
