Bob was born on April 8, 1937 in Lodi, son of the late William and Myrtle (Gray) Vincent. He married Mary Ann Woolsey on January 30, 1965 in Rosendale, NY. The couple adopted their only child, Sarah Elizabeth on November 20, 1970 in the state of New York and returned to Fort in the summer of 1971.
Bob taught industrial arts including woodworking, metals, electronics, plastics, drafting and started the graphic arts program at the Fort Atkinson High School for 38 years, retiring in 1994. He was active in the Fort Atkinson community serving on the city planning committee, a member of the Historical society, the Hoard Museum board and most recently was elected to the Fort Atkinson Board of Education in April 2013.
He is survived by his Wife Mary Ann "Mick" Vincent of Fort Atkinson; daughter Sarah Elizabeth Vincent (Andrew) Dunham of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Jillian Elizabeth and Vincent Avery and Sarahs birthmother, Deborah Avery Hargrove of Indian Hills, CO.
A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2013 at the Fort Atkinson Middle School with a time of remembrance beginning at noon.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, as Bob preferred things to grow, donations be directed to the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation 244 N. Main St. for a memorial scholarship being set up in his honor and/or Friends of Haumerson's Pond (as this project he was very passionate about seeing coming to fruition).
