Ronald C. Stortz

Ronald C. Stortz, 69, of Fort Atkinson, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 12, 2012 at his home.

Ron was born on December 7, 1942 in Fort Atkinson, son of Stephan and Marie (Schmidt) Stortz. He married Barbara Sanden on January 29, 1977 in Rockton, IL. Ron had worked for many years at J-Star in Fort Atkinson, and most recently at Jellystone Park.

Ron loved time spent outdoors, sitting on the porch, looking out onto the river. He enjoyed taking the dogs out on golf cart rides and spending time with his family and neighbors. Ron was a man who truly enjoyed helping out his friends.

Ron is survived by his wife Barbara; son, Steve (Angie) Stortz of Fort Atkinson; granddaughter, Kaylee Inez Stortz; mother, Marie Stortz of Fort Atkinson; sister, Sharon (Doug) Dyle of Janesville; uncles, Harold and Joe Schmidt and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephan and uncles, Lawrence and Leo Schmidt and Tony Stortz.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Friends may call from 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church until time of service.

Memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
