Sally Koch

Sally Koch, age 81, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Sally was born on September 5, 1944, in Jefferson, Wisconsin, to Henry and Evelyn Maas.  In October 1962, she married the love of her life, Ken Koch. Together they made their home in Fort Atkinson, where they built a life centered on love, family, and service to their neighborhood.

Sally worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant with the Fort Atkinson Park and Recreation Department. She took pride in her work and enjoyed the friendships she made throughout her time there.

Sally was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed cheering on local sports teams, enthusiastically supporting the Generals Baseball team and Fort Atkinson athletics. She had a creative spirit and loved making handmade cards for family and friends, each one crafted with thoughtfulness and care. Gardening was another passion, and she found great joy in tending her flowers and plants. After retirement, Sally and Ken enjoyed traveling together, creating cherished memories while exploring new places.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Evelyn Maas; her brothers, Durwood Maas and Doug Maas; and her beloved children, Deanne Koch and Doug Koch.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ken Koch; her daughter, Lisa Koch; and her cherished granddaughter, Keira Hanmer. She also leaves behind many extended family members including nephews and nieces who held a special place in her heart, dear friends, and neighbors who will remember her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit.

Sally’s life was defined by the love she shared with others, her devotion to family, and her willingness to help those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family would like to give special thanks to the caregivers Sally had over the last few months.  Their amazing care allowed her to spend her last days in her beloved home.

Visitation will be held at Dunlap Memorial Home from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday June 9th.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Agrace Hospice.
