Shirley J. Lemerand

Shirley J. Lemerand, 84, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center.
Shirley was born on June 13, 1927, daughter of the late Arthur E. and Florence A. (Schilling) Bentley in Milwaukee. She married Lawrence Bill Lemerand on December 11, 2005 in Fort Atkinson.
Shirley was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries, a member of St. Johns Community Church and was a volunteer driver for Jefferson County for 13, years.
Shirley is survived by her husband Bill of Fort Atkinson; children, Thomas L. (Ursula) Gruenewald of Henderson, NV, James A. (Janine) Gruenewald of Hot Springs Village, AR and Karen R. (Richard) Kraus Imendorf of Sun Valley, CA; David L. (Cecelia) Kraus of Hixton, WI, Ronald (Irene) Kraus of Rancho Bernardo, CA, Ruth (William) Valleau of Eau Claire, WI; step children, Dianne Halverson of Las Vegas, NV, Peggy (Terry) Dixon of Endeavor, WI, Nancy Siegel of Fort Atkinson and William (Sharon) Lemerand of Fort Atkinson; son-in-law Edward Anderson of Ladysmith, WI; sister, Carole S. (Wilhelm) Ohlsen of Hot Springs Village, AR; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, cousins and many friends.
Shirley was also preceded in death by two daughters, Marilyn Daly and Carol M. Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 with Pastor Kevin Butler officiating at the Chapel of the Chimes in Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Dunlap Memorial Home and from 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the chapel in Brookfield until time of service. Entombment will follow.
Memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice, American Cancer Society or to the charity of ones choice.
