Retired Army SSgt Thomas (Tom) Wesley Jung passed away on January 1, 2025. He was born on March 12, 1942. Tom joined the Army at 18 and served his country for 20 years, including two tours in Vietnam.
After retiring from the Army, he worked at Nasco in Fort Atkinson, WI for 26 years. Tom was a long-standing member of the VFW holding several positions, including Commander, throughout the years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates fan and enjoyed watching and attending games. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who brought smiles, funny catchphrases, and laughter to his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by Nancy, his wife of 58 1⁄2 years; daughter Shirley and her husband Glen Wagand; daughter Lucie and her husband David Odegaard; son Tom II and his fiancé Cassi; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley (Bill) and Eva Jung, his daughter, Eva Michele, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery.
