Victor M. Dall

Victor M. Vic Dall, 82, formerly of Fort Atkinson, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Alden Estates of Jefferson.

Vic was born on August 22, 1929 in Milwaukee, son of the late Manley and Viola (Sickels) Dall. He married Barbara Derlein on July 31, 1954 at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson.

After graduating from Marshall High School in 1947 he joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Vic worked for the U.S. Postal service for many years. He started as a rural route carrier in Sullivan then as a window clerk at the Fort Atkinson Post Office.

Vic enjoyed gardening, animals and model trains. He was a loving husband and great friend.

Vic is survived by his wife Barbara of Jefferson; nieces and nephews, George (Lynn) Derlein of Greenfield, Mary Derlein Schneider of New Berlin, Judy (Jerry) Rosewitz of New Berlin and Colleen Toland of CA; sisters-in-law Ellen Hamill of OR and Rachel Derlein Knutson of West Allis; aunt, Alice Sickels of Sun Prairie and 12 grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Alden Estates of Jefferson Chapel. Friends may call from 1 p.m. on Thursday at Alden Estates until time of service. Burial with military honors will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Jefferson County.
