Virginia Rae Schyvinck

Virginia Rae (Rego) Schyvinck, 72, of Edgerton, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014.

She was born on June 17, 1941 the daughter of George Edward and Genavieve Margaret (O’Connor) Rego in Reedsburg, WI.

Virginia graduated from Reedsburg High School in 1960. She married Gerald Schyvinck on June 16, 1962 in Reedsburg and then relocated to Janesville where she lived until locating to Fort Atkinson in 1970.

Virginia was a long time employee of 40 plus years at Redi-Serve Foods in Fort Atkinson. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, attending plays and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her four children; Steven Schyvinck of Oak Creek, Carole (Schyvinck) Hansen of Janesville, Jeffrey Schyvinck of Janesville and Tonia (Schyvinck) Rhinehart of Reedsburg; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald Rego of Reedsburg and William Rego of Florida; sister-in-law, Rita Rego of West Allis and brother-in-law, John Schyvinck of Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lawrence and sister-in-law Terry Schyvinck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 310 Bluff Street, La Valle, WI. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 at the Dunlap Memorial Home, 604 S. Main Street, Fort Atkinson, WI and from 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church until time of service.
