Wesley F. Wenham, 85, Fort Atkinson, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the Fort Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 12, 1926 in the Town of Hebron, the son of the late Clarence and Naomi (Barnes) Wenham.
Wesley married Elaine Stork on December 23, 1945 in Fort Atkinson.
He was a graduate of the Fort Atkinson High School, class of 1944.
Wesley was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson.
He was a lifelong farmer and dairyman. Since 1955, he continued the operation of the family farm in the Town of Hebron which has been owned by the Wenham family since 1864.
Wesley had served as a Jefferson County supervisor, served on the Jefferson County Fair Board, and was a member of the Tri-County Tractor Puller for many years.
He enjoyed being with his family and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine; three children, Gloria Wenham, Nordahl (Cheryl) Wenham, Lynnette (Gilbert) Alvarado all of Fort Atkinson; 6 grandchildren, Danette Milleson of Janesville, Jackie (Steve) Prisk, Heather (Jim) Gwaltney, Jim (Angelita, finance) Alvarado, Michelle Alvarado all of Fort Atkinson, Nicholas Alvarado of Janesville; 14 great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Milleson, Thomas, Tyler, Tyson Prisk, Jacob Alvarado, Lawson Reynolds, Shalon Jung, Robert Wildenauer III, BriLeigh Alvarado, BriAnna, Adrian, Hayden Storey, Austin, Katelyn Gwaltney; one sister, Mary (Claude) Peardon of Fullerton, CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Also preceding in death were three brothers, John, George, and Russell.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Dunlap Memorial Home and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church until the time of service.
