William "Bill" G. Powers went to his heavenly home on May 16th, 2025, after a 4 1/2 year battle with Lewy body dementia and Parkinson’s disease. He was surrounded by his loving wife, and children, Michael, Michelle and Rob Carl. He lived a full and rich life with many blessings. He was a proud Irish Catholic, attending St. Joseph Catholic Church where he spent eight years of parochial school and served as an altar boy.

He graduated in 1962 from Fort Atkinson High School. Bill was a very talented athlete. He played football, baseball, softball, and basketball. Some of his fondest memories are of his baseball teammates. After graduating, Bill worked for Jones Dairy Farm and General Motors. Bill’s career led him to work for Mackie Ellis, and Carol Smith & Gartman Appraisals as a realtor, Bill received many awards for being a best lister and seller. Bill was an entrepreneur, and salesman, starting his own company “Wisconsin Cheese & Sausage Dist.” Having been very successful, after 45 years he was forced to retire due to his illness. He retired his business to his son, Micheal Powers.
